Winter Steelhead

Fish the coastal rivers of the North Oregon coast for the hard fighting winter steelhead. We fish some of the most productive rivers in the state like the Wilson, Trask, Nestucca, Kilchis, Necanicum, Siletz and Nehalem to name a few. We also fish the Portland area rivers like the Clackamas and Sandy.

Techniques used here are mostly side-drifting baits, floats and jigs and the occasional plug pulling when the time is right.

Winter steelhead is a very fun and productive fishery and peak times are December through April. We fish out of an 18' Willie drift boat or a newer Alumaweld Super vee jet sled.
